Estonian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely render all messages, without addition, omission, or substitution.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Demonstrate eagerness to acquire new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and reporting with your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Estonian."

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and adaptability to diverse cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
