This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This role acts as the main point of contact for all preconstruction activities within the NexGen In-Plant and Special Projects Business Unit.
• Responsibilities include the initial engagement with customers to gather scope and schedule information.
• Coordination with other estimators and project teams.
• Contacting subcontractors and vendors for pricing.
• Developing and reviewing comprehensive estimates.
• Preparing bid forms and scope letters for final submissions.
• Tracking the progress of all projects that the organization is pursuing.
• In-Plant Industrial Estimator - Accountable for creating detailed estimates for in-plant industrial construction, maintenance, and special projects, which involves calculating labor, equipment, and material costs for diverse activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or at least ten years of experience in the construction sector.
• A minimum of five years of experience in estimating industrial construction or maintenance projects.
• Familiarity with various types of mechanical processes and utility industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, power, food, and beverage, among others.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Proficient in software applications related to quantity surveying, material take-off, and estimation for in-plant and industrial construction projects.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Skill in balancing and prioritizing workload across several different opportunities at once.
• Displays innovative and creative approaches to deliver value-adding solutions.
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy, excellence, and continuous improvement, demonstrating consistent discipline.
• Capable of breaking down problems into smaller components, understanding underlying issues, simplifying and processing complex problems, and distinguishing between critical details and less important facts.
