Estimator II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gathers, computes, and consolidates data for use in conceptual and bid proposal estimates.

• Prepares standard estimates with general oversight.

• Ensures that all quantity surveys and pricing are precise and comprehensive.

• Supports the formulation of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson on job elements.

• Oversees the document management for the project, ensuring all documents are thorough and effectively communicate decisions to sales and operations teams.

• Participates in pre-bid meetings to discuss project details and scope.

• Engages in bid closings and estimate reviews.

• Manages workload and assignments to meet deadlines.

• Conducts a value analysis study by identifying alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-effective.

• Manages action items from Post Bid and finalizes ISEC scope.

• Calculates cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, requirements, and labor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• 4 to 7 years of experience.

• Manages projects throughout their lifecycle and seeks feedback on estimating discrepancies and project profitability.

• Acts as the lead estimator within a project team.

• Submits bids for projects with minimal oversight; knowledgeable about various estimating and take-off techniques.

• Aids in sales strategy to secure contracts.

• Represents ISEC at General Contractor Scope Reviews.

• Intermediate understanding of ISEC products, services, processes, and projects.

• Capable of leading an assignment or special project from inception to completion.

• Makes independent decisions based on the complexity of issues.

• Operates autonomously most of the time.

• Possesses the ability to think strategically and critically analyze situations.

• Capable of navigating and mitigating risks.

• Initiates and sustains relationships with key personnel and other departments.

• Contributes to the organization beyond the scope of the position.

• Assists in the development and mentoring of Level 1 employees; may have direct reports.
