This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze RFQ documentation, drawings, and specifications to create precise cost estimates for commercial electrical and roofing projects.

• Perform thorough takeoffs and develop competitive bid proposals.

• Investigate materials, labor rates, subcontractor expenses, and timelines to produce accurate estimates.

• Employ construction software tools (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Buildertrend) for effective bid management.

• Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to clarify project scope and address pricing discrepancies.

• Adhere to stringent RFQ deadlines while managing multiple, simultaneous bids.

• Transition into project management duties following contract awards.

• Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, field teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

• Monitor and manage project budgets, resolving discrepancies to uphold profitability.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients during project execution, ensuring their satisfaction.

• Tackle and resolve challenges in a proactive and professional manner.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project performance, change orders, and schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Established experience in estimating within the electrical, roofing, and commercial construction sectors.

• Substantial experience in managing projects post-contract award, including team coordination and budget tracking.

• Competence in construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, PlanSwift, or similar).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Capacity to work independently as a remote contractor and fulfill obligations without continuous supervision.

• Knowledge of roofing systems, electrical installations, industry standards, and regulations.

• Experience with commercial renewable energy projects is an advantage.

• Strong comprehension of technical specifications, drawings, and contract negotiations.
