Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret architectural drawings, project specifications, and Requests for Information (RFI's).

• Create and document RFI's and correspondence with General Contractors to clarify the scope of work.

• Utilize Glazier Studio or other estimating software to perform material takeoffs and labor assessments.

• Request and assess supplier quotations to guarantee competitive pricing.

• Work in conjunction with project managers and the sales team to formulate effective bid strategies.

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and proposals for commercial storefronts, curtain walls, and glazing projects.

• Oversee and manage multiple bids concurrently while adhering to stringent deadlines.

• Maintain and refresh estimating databases, cost histories, and bid logs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in the commercial glazing sector.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with storefront systems, door hardware, glass railing systems, interior partitions, glass, louvers, mirrors, fire-rated systems, and multislide/bifolding doors.

• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Experience with estimating software, as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

• Capability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
