Estate Banker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborates with executors, liquidators, and branch personnel to facilitate estate-related settlements for deceased BMO clients.

• Offers support, guidance, and expertise to ensure that the customer experience during this challenging period is smooth and hassle-free.

• Engages in discussions to understand the banking requirements of the estate and incorporates marketing promotions and programs into customer interactions as suitable.

• Conducts needs assessments to identify and propose financial solutions and preferred banking channels.

• Manages calls and inquiries in a knowledgeable, professional, and efficient manner.

• Reaches out to the customer/executor/liquidator to gather essential information for the estate case.

• Keeps the customer informed about the status and outcomes of their case.

• Works together with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

• May offer training and coaching to junior associates as necessary.

• Completes all tasks related to estate processes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as the Bank’s policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally possesses 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.

• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• RISR qualification is a significant advantage.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a considerable plus.

• Must fulfill the licensing and certification criteria for the team/branch/jurisdiction in which the role is performed.

• In-depth knowledge of estate and deceased matters.

• Understanding of risk and regulatory requirements.

• Working knowledge of systems and applications.

• Good understanding of workflow priorities and deadlines.

• Specialized knowledge in the relevant area.
