This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Serve as a technical reference in architecture, engineering, operation, and evolution of networks for providers and operators.
• Lead the diagnosis and stabilization of critical, complex, or system-impacting incidents.
• Design, review, and evolve access, aggregation, transport, core, edge, BNG/BRAS, and CGNAT architectures.
• Conduct technical assessments, identifying risks, weaknesses, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Define standards for configuration, security, high availability, convergence, capacity, observability, and resilience.
• Plan and monitor high-risk changes, ensuring impact analysis, testing, rollback, and acceptance criteria.
• Work advanced with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, routing policies, and layer 2 and 3 services.
• Evaluate traffic engineering scenarios, expansion, capacity, redundancy, and route optimization.
• Create solution designs, diagrams, procedures, technical reports, root cause analyses, and evolution plans.
• Validate solutions, projects, and configurations proposed by the team, clients, operators, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Support technical decisions in strategic projects by translating risks, impacts, and alternatives.
• Guide and develop analysts, promoting technical reviews, standardization, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to automations, tools, and processes that enhance security, efficiency, and delivery quality.
• Represent the NIIS technically in meetings, crises, and architectural discussions with clients and partners.
• Solid experience in architecture, engineering, advanced support, or operation of networks for providers and operators.
• Experience in projects, assessments, critical incidents, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with multivendor environments and high availability.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, switching, routing, high availability, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in BGP, including policies, filters, attributes, communities, route selection, redundancy, security, and convergence.
• Knowledge of OSPF and/or IS-IS.
• Strong understanding of MPLS/LDP and services such as L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, or equivalents.
• Experience with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, MC-LAG, VRRP, and BFD.
• Knowledge of BNG/BRAS, PPPoE, RADIUS, NAT/CGNAT, QoS, traffic engineering, and access networks.
• Ability to interpret topologies, configurations, forwarding tables, logs, telemetry, flows, and packet captures.
• Advanced experience with CLI, diagnostics, and solution design in multivendor environments.
• Capability to create and defend projects, standards, reports, change plans, and root cause analyses.
• Experience in leading technical incidents, projects, and critical changes in high availability networks.
• Advantage: experience with Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Datacom, ZTE, FiberHome, A10, or other industry manufacturers.
• Advantage: knowledge of EVPN, Segment Routing, RPKI, FlowSpec, BGP-LS, telemetry, NetFlow/sFlow, or routing security.
• Advantage: network automation with Python, Ansible, APIs, Git, testing, or configuration validation.
• Advantage: certifications CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, HCIP/HCIE, Nokia NRS II/SRA, MTCINE, or equivalents.
