ERP Implementation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for comprehensive ERP implementations for Burkland clients, which includes designing the chart of accounts, configuring modules, automating workflows, and conducting user acceptance testing. Document implementation choices and maintain project trackers throughout each engagement.

• Assess current ERP environments to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or misconfigurations. Propose and implement enhancements to reporting structures, dashboards, and custom workflows to ensure the system aligns with each client's business model. Deliver training sessions, produce user documentation, and proactively highlight system improvements that align with client growth milestones.

• Assist in the monthly closing processes within client ERP systems, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting. Ensure the system accurately reflects the client's accounting policies and meets audit requirements.

• Oversee data migrations from legacy systems (QuickBooks, Xero, spreadsheets) to modern ERP platforms. Work collaboratively with technology and product teams to define and manage third-party integrations (Stripe, Brex, Ramp, Salesforce, etc.) utilizing native automation tools or iPaaS solutions.

• Discover opportunities to optimize financial workflows through automation and cross-departmental collaboration. Stay updated on platform releases, best practices, and the evolving landscape of startup finance technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in ERP implementation or administration.

• Practical experience leading or supporting full-cycle ERP implementations (beyond just end-user experience).

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, month-end closing processes, and financial reporting.

• Capability to manage multiple client engagements at once and adjust priorities as necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical system decisions in straightforward language for non-technical founders and finance teams.

• Self-motivated and proactive: comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments.

• Enthusiastic about supporting clients in SaaS, fintech, biotech, and other rapidly growing industries.
