This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Install, remove, and/or certify equipment: Set up panoramic X-ray and cone beam machinery along with associated computers.
• Calibrate the equipment to ensure top-notch image quality and peak performance.
• Test and remove existing equipment for either purchase for recertification or disposal.
• Enhance the knowledge of our Trusted Dental Technicians through co-travel certifications and oversee 3rd party assistants by assigning and tracking tasks.
• Conduct performance evaluations on acquired equipment to guarantee it meets quality and condition standards.
• Properly maintain tools and test equipment.
• Possess a “handyman acumen” – a mechanical understanding of construction methods is essential for facilitating the installation of capital equipment, electrical connections, low-voltage connections, and comfort in using power and hand tools.
• Provide services: Offer on-site or remote technical support for computers and dental imaging devices.
• Develop and maintain necessary technical documentation and procedures.
• Timely completion of required internal, regulatory documentation, and expense reports.
• Install, troubleshoot, and configure digital systems managed by 1-2 computer systems connected via Ethernet and wireless methods.
• Deliver training to small groups of doctors and dental staff on basic equipment, hardware operations, and software usage.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and team members to ensure issue resolution and proper follow-up, fostering customer satisfaction.
• Comply with health and human services, environmental health and safety, and/or other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Utilize the escalation process to address customer service issues and perform effective root cause analysis to achieve successful problem solving.
• Collaborate as a team member to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all assigned customers.
• Take on additional responsibilities as requested.
• Graduate of an electronics/technology program and MSCE or equivalent IT certification.
• Basic skills and comfort level with electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Fundamental IT understanding related to operating systems, networking, etc.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial building/construction methods is a plus.
• Proficient in using power hand tools and low-voltage systems, which will greatly assist in the installation of capital equipment in dental offices.
• Experience with installation or service from at least one leading market manufacturer of CBCT such as Sirona, Dexis, Instrumentarium, Planmeca, Carestream, Vatech, Axion, and Ray brand.
• Computer networking knowledge and experience is preferred.
• Proximity to a major airport is required.
• Ability to travel an average of 4 nights per week.
• Willingness to travel on occasional weekends and holidays.
• Capability to lift over 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if international travel is necessary.
