
Equipment Specialist – Traveler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Adhere to established protocols for receiving and processing equipment facility orders and field returns
• Procure equipment both internally and from third-party rental and service providers
• Create purchase orders for equipment acquisitions and rentals
• Reconcile and process contracts, invoices, work orders, and fleet billing
• Assist in the management of electronic and physical inventory on project sites and within equipment facilities
• Revise Task Codes and Off-Rent dates according to input from project teams
• Compile, review, quality-assure, and distribute both scheduled and on-demand inventory reports
• Analyze on-rent and forecast reports
• Organize and lead Pre-Mob meetings to address project startup requirements
• Conduct monthly equipment review meetings with project and accounting teams
• Promote LEAN / 5S initiatives
• Partner with equipment-facility craft teams to implement equipment plans
• Organize forecast review meetings with project teams and trade partners
• Offer equipment solutions and resolve issues, including recommendations for equipment types and maintenance
• Coordinate vehicle orders for team members and projects
• Manage Department of Transportation registration and respond to DOT and driver inquiries
• Engage in equipment-facility safety programs, environmental assessments, and Mortenson’s Zero Injury policy
• Oversee the dispatch and scheduling of equipment deliveries, including logistics planning
• Cultivate relationships across various backgrounds and organizational levels
• Associate’s degree with 1+ years of experience in rental equipment, construction, and/or related fields, or 2+ years of pertinent experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
• Capability to evaluate and prioritize multiple customer demands
• Familiarity with purchasing/rental processes and procedures
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
• Ability to influence others
• Active listening skills and effective communication; receptive to diverse input and feedback
• Willingness to travel 100%
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment visa sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Experience with billing software is preferred
