
Equine Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Build and maintain relationships with major equine operations and decision-makers to promote Bimeda products.
• Act as the primary contact for sales initiatives within the assigned territory.
• Conduct regular sales visits to existing clients to expand business opportunities.
• Implement pre-call strategies to optimize territory management.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to document projects and sales activities.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Engage with farm/barn managers, veterinarians, nutritionists, distributor sales reps, and branch managers.
• Market Bimeda branded and private-label products through designated distribution channels.
• Promote flagship equine products such as Gastrobim™, Polyglycan®, Equimax®, and Bimectin®.
• Cultivate relationships with distributor sales representatives and regional branches, both internally and externally.
• Develop and share a comprehensive territory travel strategy.
• Provide sales data and competitive insights to the marketing team via Salesforce.
• Participate in trade shows and equine events, assisting in managing endorsee relationships.
• Promote and relay Bimeda marketing initiatives to targeted consumers.
• Deliver monthly updates regarding sales trends and challenges faced.
• Collaborate with management to create territory sales and cost budgets.
• Track sales performance, budget ratios, and product distribution reports.
• Oversee territory sales budgets and associated expenses.
• Engage in conference calls and attend regional/national meetings.
• Report directly to the Regional Sales Manager/Equine Business Unit Manager.
• Collaborate with Technical Services and consumer cattle sales departments as necessary.
• Travel with Bimeda management and Technical Services as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Several years of experience in the animal health industry.
• Proven sales experience in pharmaceutical or animal health products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Established sales professional with a stellar reputation in the equine sector.
• In-depth knowledge and strong connections within the equine industry.
• Proven success in selling to large equine operations.
• Prior experience in selling equine pain management, anti-inflammatory, and joint/cartilage treatment products.
• Familiarity with Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) management and treatment options.
• Basic understanding of general animal health products, including anti-parasitics, sedatives, and reproductive hormones.
• Experience in selling joint/cartilage therapy, gastrointestinal, or pain management products is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of animal health pharmaceuticals and biologics.
• Established relationships with management and ownership of large equine operations.
• Experience with the utilization of animal health products in large equine settings.
• Ability to effectively manage complexity, stress, and time constraints.
• Proactive and capable of analytical problem-solving.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on thoroughness.
