Epic Certified Applications Analyst – ASAP, Clin Doc

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Implement and manage Epic systems and databases to ensure optimal performance.

• Oversee complex Information System projects and products utilizing Epic solutions to fulfill business requirements.

• Maintain Epic applications while facilitating updates, new releases, and system enhancements.

• Conduct or engage in technical and application reviews to evaluate feasibility, cost, and utility.

• Assess service requests, participate in vendor demonstrations, site visits, and reference calls.

• Investigate systems, define automation needs and objectives, and evaluate alternative solutions.

• Troubleshoot application issues and provide support to end users to enhance their experience.

• Address system issues and requests in accordance with SLA goals, standards, and policies.

• Analyze intricate processes through collaboration, research, workflow analysis, and data extraction.

• Assist in project planning, problem-solving, change control, and quality assurance.

• Take part in the review and testing of new enterprise applications and updates.

• Prioritize and execute requested changes to enterprise applications.

• Analyze new functionalities and establish implementation timelines.

• Aid in the recruitment, development, training, and mentoring of team members.

• Communicate project and team progress to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Escalate issues and provide status updates to leadership.

• Participate in meetings, huddles, and workgroups; prepare minutes, correspondence, and status reports.

• Support new version releases and change control processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or a related Information Technology field, or four years of equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in an IT or healthcare position.

• At least one Epic certification or accreditation is required.

• Epic certification or accreditation in primary module(s), or as specified by the applications, must be obtained within six months of hire.

• Current Epic certifications or accreditations must be upheld according to Epic Corporation standards.

• Epic end-user experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in leading meetings, prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, maintaining issue lists, and adhering to a project plan.

• Competency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-up skills.

• Technical expertise in coordinating, configuring, and building healthcare IT to promote quality improvement, meaningful use, and safety objectives.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for health system EHRs.

• Ability to lead and mentor application teams.

• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively on content builds, projects, and upgrades.

• Experience in change management is essential.

• Experience in intra-system design is highly preferred.

• On-call availability is a requirement.
