Epic Analyst, Community Connect Professional Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workflows, data collection processes, report specifics, and technical challenges related to Epic software.

• Develop and uphold Epic application content in line with departmental assignments and functional specifications.

• Conduct unit testing and document or report any system-related issues.

• Populate databases during the initial system builds with support from Epic.

• Gather requirements for enhancements and functionalities, and prepare specifications accordingly.

• Assess data conversion and interface requirements.

• Create and document project procedures while establishing change-control protocols.

• Engage in training development and delivery for end users.

• Resolve end-user issues and address inquiries.

• Collaborate with report developers to ensure the provision of necessary application reports.

• Prioritize and execute system changes while assessing new release functionalities.

• Maintain communication with Epic representatives and the end-user community.

• Offer end-user support during implementations and act as an application expert during rollouts.

• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and rectify system issues.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field.

• A minimum of two years of experience with Epic or integrated Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• Alternatively, an Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field with four years of relevant IT experience may be accepted.

• Alternatively, a High School Diploma or equivalent coupled with seven years of relevant IT experience may also be considered.

• Alternatively, one year of experience in Epic build and/or support may be acceptable.

• Epic Module Certification as mandated by the role.

• CPHIMS certification is preferred.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Capability to multitask effectively.
