EPC – Pre Construction Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate RFPs, project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to deliver precise and competitive cost estimates.

• Work alongside suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotes for the materials and services necessary for the project.

• Employ estimation software and tools to enhance the bidding process and ensure accuracy in cost assessments.

• Partner with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to strategize and implement electrical projects.

• Spot cost-saving possibilities and alternative solutions to boost project profitability.

• Create detailed and competitive bid proposals for electrical projects.

• Manage bid submissions and follow up with clients to resolve any questions.

• Engage in RFP and potential customer site visits when necessary.

• Occasional travel to job sites for site evaluations and company offices for meetings (10% travel).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Proven track record as an Electrical Estimator within the electrical sector, ideally in the renewable energy field.

• Solid understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.

• Familiarity with Prevailing Wage regulations.

• Proficient in electrical estimation software and tools while applying standard cost estimation methodologies.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities to handle multiple projects at once.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively tackle project challenges.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.

• Completion of a background and MVR check with satisfactory results is required.
