Environmental Scientist – Industrial Hygienist V

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Lead and conduct thorough industrial hygiene evaluations, including monitoring for chemical, physical, and biological risks.

• Supervise inspections and sampling initiatives regarding asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality (IAQ) issues.

• Develop and execute remediation plans, offering expert guidance on hazard identification, mitigation, and control measures.

• Draft and assess detailed technical reports, clearly presenting findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards, serving as a subject matter expert in compliance issues.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide integrated environmental, health, and safety solutions for complex projects.

• Offer strategic advice on ventilation systems, respiratory protection programs, and hazard communication initiatives.

• Support business development by nurturing key client relationships, engaging in client meetings, and aiding in proposal creation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in industrial hygiene, ideally within a consulting framework.

• One or more of the following certifications is advantageous: Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer, Supervisor, Air Sampling Professional, Lead-based paint risk assessor certification.

• Experience in mold and IAQ assessments.

• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene principles.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting findings to clients effectively.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects and work autonomously with minimal oversight.
