This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Prepare applications for environmental permits in accordance with Massachusetts environmental regulations.

• Assist with Energy Projects, which encompass electric energy transmission, generation, and renewable sources.

• Support infrastructure enhancement initiatives in both state and private sectors, as well as federal projects.

• Carry out field ecology activities related to wetlands and wildlife.

• Collaborate with the Northeast Environmental Planning & Permitting Department and EPP teams.

• Spend necessary time in both office and client site environments.

• Participate in in-person onboarding on Day 1 at an AECOM office location.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA / BS in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field, accompanied by 6 years of experience, or a proven equivalent in experience and/or education.

• A valid Driver’s License is required.

• Must successfully pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records assessment.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Experience in Environmental Permitting is essential.

• Experience with wetlands in Massachusetts is required.

• A deep understanding of Massachusetts Environmental Regulatory Programs, including the Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act Regulations (310 CMR 10:00), USACE Sections 404/10 and 401 WQC programs, along with familiarity with the MADEP Chapter 91 Program and MEPA.

• Demonstrated capability to prepare permit applications is necessary.

• Strong writing abilities are required.

• Proficiency in GIS is necessary.

• Strong computer skills are essential.

• Additional background in New England Environmental Regulatory Programs is preferred.
