This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Prepare applications for permits in accordance with Massachusetts Environmental Regulatory Programs.

• Utilize knowledge of the Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act Regulations (310 CMR 10:00).

• Collaborate with USACE on Sections 404/10 and 401 WQC programs.

• Apply a solid understanding of MADEP Chapter 91 and MEPA programs.

• Engage in wetland and wildlife field ecology activities.

• Provide support for energy initiatives, including electric energy transmission, generation, and renewables.

• Assist in state and private-sector infrastructure enhancement programs.

• Contribute to federal projects.

• Work alongside AECOM’s Northeast Environmental Planning & Permitting Department and EPP teams.

• Operate remotely while occasionally working from offices or client sites as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA / BS in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field, along with 6 years of experience, or a demonstrated equivalent of experience and/or education.

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.

• Capability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Experience in Environmental Permitting is essential.

• Wetlands experience specific to Massachusetts is required.

• Excellent writing skills are necessary.

• Ability to draft environmental permitting applications.

• Proficiency in GIS.

• Strong computer skills are important.

• Additional familiarity with other New England Environmental Regulatory Programs is desirable.
