Environmental Operations Support Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Acts as a support representative for the Sustainability Services Territory or Vertical.

• Responsible for the execution of new contracts, aiding in special projects, and staffing current contracts as necessary.

• Collaborate with Business Development and Territory/Vertical Managers during site visits, proposal creation, and contract renewals.

• Requires significant travel, exceeding 90% of the time.

• Manage logistics for the transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste from client locations, which includes profiling, scheduling, manifesting, and physically loading bulk and drum loads.

• Consult with clients and potential clients to identify, design, and implement cost-saving initiatives and proposals.

• Ensure adherence to client and governmental regulations by conducting necessary inspections and reporting; resolve any issues promptly.

• Oversee client and vendor financial responsibilities, including invoicing, reporting, and contracts.

• Foster a culture of safety by ensuring that site personnel are adequately trained to perform their assigned tasks and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside and work within the U.S.

• Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business, or a related field; alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) along with four (4) years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience (in addition to the educational requirement).

• Experience with RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance is essential.

• OSHA 24-Hour HAZWOPER Certification is mandatory.

• Valid Driver's License is required.

• Capability to pass a respirator FIT test.

• Must be able to obtain a medical card and CDL within 90 days (provided by WM).
