Environmental Modeler Specialist – Noise and Air

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct noise modeling and analysis for industrial, infrastructure, or environmental initiatives.

• Provide support for air quality modeling and environmental compliance projects as required.

• Create and manage modeling inputs utilizing GIS, AutoCAD, and various other data sources.

• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation necessary for permits and compliance measures.

• Engage in environmental modeling and compliance projects, ensuring adherence to project scope and timelines.

• Aid in small-scale project management, including tracking timelines, budgets, and scope under the supervision of senior staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Acoustics, Physics, or a similar field.

• 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in environmental modeling, air quality, or a related technical area.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following:

• Noise modeling software (e.g., SoundPLAN)

• Air dispersion modeling (e.g., AERMOD)

• AutoCAD or GIS tools for spatial analysis and modeling support.

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and regulatory processes (e.g., noise ordinances, Clean Air Act programs).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.

• Experience in supporting environmental consulting projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
