This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Create solutions for technical challenges utilizing scientific principles, theories, practices, and current technologies.
• Develop technical work plans, reports, foundational data, and scientific documentation.
• Analyze and document data while comparing results with relevant studies and regulations.
• Design, implement, evaluate, and report on environmental measures in natural ecosystems.
• Gather samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment.
• Prepare samples for shipment and complete chain-of-custody documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of natural sciences to elucidate observations.
• Investigate contaminants and devise strategies for environmental restoration.
• Assess analytical data for routine analyses using established guidelines.
• Collaborate with task and project managers, on-site subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Assist with sampling, data collection, and field documentation.
• Offer technical expertise support.
• Primarily contribute to Federal environmental projects.
• Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, environmental engineering, or a related field, along with 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must pass a motor vehicle records check.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Professional registration or progress toward such registration is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork and/or meetings.
• Significant travel within the United States may be necessary, potentially several months per year.
• Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• Skills in database management, GIS, CAD, and visualization software are desirable.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills are required for interactions with clients, regulatory officials, and colleagues.
