This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to guarantee the availability, security, stability, and readiness for release/testing of DEV, SIT, and CAT environments.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination to ensure environment availability and readiness.
• Oversee changes to environments, including configuration, refreshes, access, and deployments, adhering to governance and compliance protocols.
• Generate and manage ServiceNow requests and incidents until resolution.
• Initiate and monitor vendor support cases with providers like Google and Oracle, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, and system upgrades in collaboration with security and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor schedules, testing, risks, and escalations.
• Take ownership of critical incident management for high-severity outages, encompassing triage, communications, restoration, and post-incident follow-ups.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, system/network specifications, and NCRB documentation.
• Ensure effective monitoring and alerting, including ESM coordination and Splunk dashboards/alerts.
• Evaluate operational trends and enhance reliability.
• Recognize and implement automation and AI-driven improvements.
• Propel recommendations for cloud and supplier cost optimization.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in SQL, capable of executing complex queries, joins, and performance optimization across platforms like Oracle, Cloudera, DataStax, or similar.
• Practical experience with Linux/UNIX operations and shell scripting for troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with Kafka/Confluent and integration/data movement patterns, including topics, consumers, and validation.
• Experience in supporting multi-environment application operations across DEV/SIT/CAT/PROD in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Competency with ServiceNow incidents and requests.
• Ability to manage vendor support escalations effectively.
• Experience in monitoring and log analysis using Splunk Enterprise.
• Knowledge of AppDynamics, Neustar, and cloud monitoring is advantageous.
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as VersionOne and ALM platforms.
• Capability to produce and maintain architecture diagrams, network specifications, and NCRB artifacts.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; adept at leading incident bridges and coordinating stakeholders under pressure.
• Ineligibility to be a member of the USPS eAccess Corporate Developer Registration (CDR) for new code development due to segregation-of-duties requirements.
• Must obtain and sustain a Public Trust clearance.
• Attendance for onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility is required.
• U.S. residency is required, compliant with USPS security-clearance protocols.
• Availability for 40 hours per week is mandatory.
