• Design environment assets with realistic detail that are optimized for real-time performance in Unreal Engine 5 (Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, Hardware Raytracing).
• Deconstruct real-world liminal spaces into modular assets that can be assembled to create immersive in-game environments.
• Develop modular kits, trim sheets, decals, and master materials intended for procedural placement and effective world-building.
• Set up lighting and material configurations that enhance the mood and tone of the game.
• Work alongside design and technical teams to ensure environmental assets fulfill gameplay and performance standards.
• Engage in internal art reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure project consistency.
• Confirm that all work adheres to the project's defined visual and technical guidelines.
• Over 3 years of professional experience as an Environment Artist in the game development industry.
• A strong portfolio showcasing realistic or atmospheric 3D environments, including samples of procedural generation or tool-assisted world-building.
• Proficient in Unreal Engine 5, Substance 3D Painter/Designer, Maya or Blender, and Photoshop.
• Expertise in asset creation using Nanite, Virtual Textures, and Hardware Raytracing.
• Experience in modular asset workflows and optimization for real-time performance.
• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, scale, and color theory.
• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach.
• A passion for environmental storytelling and creating atmospheric worlds.
• Flexible remote or hybrid work arrangements.
