This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Advises on and engages in activities concerning the design, development, and upkeep of the Enterprise Architecture (EA), which includes design processes, architectural artifact requirements, and best practices.
• The Enterprise Architect guides the extended team collaboratively, while ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Advises on and engages in the assessment, evaluation, and formulation of long-term strategic and operational plans and delivery roadmaps for the enterprise, ensuring alignment of EA objectives with the organization's long-term business goals, and making adjustments as necessary.
• Advises on and engages in the creation of data management strategies, data architecture, and data governance processes.
• Advises on and engages in the design and execution of standards, tools, and methodologies, subsequently leading their adoption.
• Identifies and suggests areas suitable for further investigation and participates in any Proof of Concept projects necessary to thoroughly explore architectural options and bolster support for their adoption.
• Takes charge of producing effective communication artifacts to enhance understanding of concepts and their relevance and value.
• Collaborates effectively with projects to assess the objectives and limitations of each solution across the Medicaid enterprise and evaluates compliance with the EA, SOA, and software engineering standards.
• Recommends and clarifies the most appropriate technical architecture and outlines the solution at a high level.
• Ensures that technology solutions are adequately secured in accordance with Identity Management and Access Control standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant industry and government standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, ISO standards, FEA, MITA, etc.
• Experience in developing architecture models within the Health and Human Services sector using industry-standard tools and notations (e.g., SparxEA, ArchiMate).
• Preferred – Experience in Data Management, Data Architecture, and Data Governance within the Health and Human Services context.
• Preferred – Basic understanding of cloud architecture and implementation patterns.
• Capability to swiftly comprehend complex technical concepts.
• Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work collaboratively with others; skill in preventing or mitigating conflict.
