This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Create and execute business solutions throughout the complete software life cycle.
• Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain intricate client software applications.
• Design, analyze, code, test, debug, modify, and document applications of moderate complexity within the Click Commerce Research Extranet application suite.
• Draft detailed specifications for business application projects and customizations that integrate with existing systems.
• Identify and resolve maintenance and support issues related to business applications.
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to establish requirements and devise solutions.
• Evaluate new business application designs for alignment with business goals and technical standards.
• Assess and analyze system and server configurations and performance to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks autonomously.
• Work in conjunction with the Office of Research IT Team on planning, processes, timelines, support, and upgrade activities.
• Collaborate with end-users and technical personnel to identify and resolve business process challenges.
• Carry out other assigned tasks.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Relevant experience may substitute for educational qualifications on an equivalent basis.
• Familiarity with computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security.
• Proficient customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and listening abilities.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining focus on priority tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple requests in a complex product and business setting.
• Capability to detect and interpret speech or other forms of communication.
• May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
• Ability to occasionally lift materials of moderate weight.
• Capability to stand or walk continuously.
• Ability to work in a controlled environment with occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature fluctuations, water, or other liquids.
