This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• The Enterprise Account Manager (EAM) will support the Cardiometabolic & Informatics Business Unit and will be tasked with meeting sales targets across Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), health systems, and wellness accounts within a designated regional area.
• Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Sales and Distribution, the EAM will cultivate and oversee relationships with key decision-makers within large, intricate strategic accounts, implement business strategies, safeguard existing business, and pinpoint new growth prospects.
• Propel cardiometabolic sales performance across Afinion, LDX, and the assigned market business goals.
• Establish and sustain executive-level connections with IDNs, wellness organizations, and extensive physician networks to promote system-wide standardization.
• Evaluate accounts to comprehend business goals, competitive landscape, and financial metrics, aligning Abbott’s value proposition with strategic objectives.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory shifts to modify strategies, protect core business, and discover new growth avenues.
• Lead cross-functional teams—including account executives, regional directors, and marketing managers—to expedite complex sales processes and deliver customized solutions.
• Negotiate and secure long-term, system-level contracts that boost revenue and profitability.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure compliance, identify opportunities for expansion, and enhance customer relationships.
• BA/BS in sales, marketing, or business management.
• Over 7 years of pertinent work experience, including 1-3 years in sales targeting executive-level decision-makers in the healthcare sector.
• 2-5 years of experience in complex sales and negotiation.
• Travel is expected to be 50% or more, and candidates must reside within the assigned region and be close to a major airport.
• Experience in developing and implementing training concepts and initiatives.
• Additional training in laboratory product sales and the diagnostics field is preferred.
• Established connections and experience within major IDNs/health systems.
• Sales background in point-of-care (POC) diagnostics or a related area.
• Experience in capital sales and distribution.
• Competence in forming and nurturing long-term strategic interpersonal, professional relationships at the senior level.
