This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Oversee one or more significant SLED accounts or manage a considerable component of a major account.
• Comprehend customer IT and business goals, priorities, requirements, and challenges.
• Execute HPE strategy while optimizing the portfolio mix and enhancing account profitability.
• Build a sales pipeline, support and drive deal closure, and coordinate multidisciplinary deal teams.
• Foster relationships with IT and business influencers, as well as C-level executives.
• Develop and manage the extended partner ecosystem and partner strategy.
• Position HPE technology, services, and strategic portfolio solutions effectively.
• Convert customer business challenges into IT opportunities.
• Identify, cultivate, and lead high-value opportunities across short-, medium-, and long-term timelines.
• Oversee complex deals through to closure while ensuring governance and ownership throughout the pipeline.
• Create and implement detailed account business plans.
• Lead, mentor, govern, and provide constructive feedback to extended account team members.
• Represent customer interests within HPE and coordinate with customer-facing organizations.
• Utilize HPE tools, processes, programs, and resources to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
• Travel regularly within the designated region to support customer and partner engagements.
• Minimum of 6 years of account management experience.
• Preferred university or bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Desired background in engineering or technology education, advanced degree, or MBA.
• Relevant experience in the IT industry.
• Experience in a vertical industry is preferred.
• Proven track record in account management and sales performance.
• Background in various sales roles is an advantage.
• Desired experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI, and intelligent edge.
• Must reside within the designated New York/Pennsylvania territory.
• Willingness to travel frequently, up to 40–60%, across the region.
• Experience as an IT leader, within an IT department, and/or with customers is a plus.
