• Identifies, develops, manages, and expands opportunities by proactively engaging with large prospects, sales leads, or customers in the transportation sector concerning new products that may be appealing.
• Presents, proposes, negotiates, and secures new accounts through a consultative sales methodology.
• Builds long-term business relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Develops thorough account strategies to obtain new business from both new and existing accounts.
• Explores extensively within an organization to cultivate contacts and advocates and to gather information that aids the sales process.
• Utilizes interpersonal skills to influence and persuade stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• Collaborates with technology, development, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer sales and satisfaction, leading to revenue growth.
• Aids in coordinating the implementation, onboarding, and training processes at client locations, manages expectations, and cross-sells additional products and services.
• Regularly communicates with the Vice President of Sales to provide updates on specific issues, sales performance, product information, and general economic conditions.
• Maintains detailed sales forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities.
• Stays proficient and knowledgeable about the company’s products and services.
• Prepares various reports for internal review, including sales metrics, pipeline status, activities, achievements, etc.
• Ensures the integrity of CRM data to facilitate accurate reporting of activities, prospect engagement, and pipeline management.
• Travels as needed to participate in meetings, conferences, and other events, with at least 20% travel time expected.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Preferred experience in influencing key decision-makers within large enterprises.
• Required experience in client relations and consultative sales principles and techniques.
• Required experience in the transportation industry.
• Preferred experience in selling payroll or HRIS systems.
• Required experience in fast-paced sales environments.
• Preferred experience in high-volume sales and cold calling.
• Preferred experience within the legal/court system.
• Preferred experience in background screening.
• Required proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
• Preferred familiarity with relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc.
• Preference for experience with Salesforce.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
