English/Ukrainian Contract Interpreter, OPI & VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Offer interpretation services via phone and video in both English and Ukrainian.

• Facilitate communication for individuals needing language support.

• Provide interpretation that is reliable, unbiased, empathetic, courteous, precise, and professional.

• Complete onboarding evaluations, which include an English proficiency test, a mock interpretation session, and an assessment of medical terminology.

• Undergo a background check and security screening.

• Enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.

• Commitment to delivering accurate, courteous, and professional interpretation services.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• An English proficiency rating of “technical proficiency” (level 3 or higher on the ILR scale).

• Successful completion of a live mock interpretation evaluation.

• Achieving a passing score on a medical terminology assessment that covers medical terms, anatomy, and physiology.

• Background check and security screening are mandatory.

• Must sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

• Submission of a resume is required.

• Certifications that demonstrate skills or relevant experience are preferred, if applicable.

• Previous experience as an Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) is an advantage, though not mandatory.
