English/Italian OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during conversations.

• Possess familiarity with the specific terminology used in the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Enhance communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Show enthusiasm for acquiring new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide updates to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Italian".

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
