English to Italian OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a strong understanding of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of the messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Be motivated to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a Native speaker of the target language "Italian".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are a bonus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and respect for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
