English to German OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretations.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a desire to obtain new professional certifications.

• Regularly communicate and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to the dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "German".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and a strong appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
