English to Burmese Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Myanmar.

📋 Description

• Contribute to a long-term project with a prominent multinational organization

• Execute translation, copy-editing, and machine translation post-editing (MTPE)

• Engage with diverse content types including marketing, user interface (UI), product, support, informational, and legal materials

• Manage an anticipated workload of over 5,000 words weekly

• Utilize a client-specific computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool; training will be provided during the onboarding process

• Collaborate on high-profile international projects

• Establish a long-term partnership with Welo Global

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Malay with a strong command of English

• A minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree

• Proven experience translating from English to Malay across various content types including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support

• Familiarity with CAT tools

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to deliver high-quality translations while adhering to deadlines in a dynamic localization setting

• Strong communication skills, reliability, responsiveness, and a willingness to accept feedback and make revisions
