English Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students core English skills to foster a deep understanding of subjects and achieve excellent scores on their college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students' progress as they navigate through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing tailored growth and improvement opportunities throughout the process.

• Demonstrate professionalism and effective organizational abilities by responding to students promptly, updating and maintaining student lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring students fulfill their assignments.

• Lead the creation and inventive implementation of continuously evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students with compassion, understanding that the college application process is becoming more competitive and stressful.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.) is required (Master’s degree or higher is preferred).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• A minimum GPA of 3.5.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

• A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace with minimal distractions are essential.
