This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students focusing on their core English skills.

• Monitor and assess your students’ progress through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum.

• Organize and update student lesson schedules.

• Ensure students are held accountable for their assignments.

• Lead the creation and implementation of lesson plans and curriculum.

• Assist middle and high school students with the college application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline from US institutions (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.) (Master’s degree or higher preferred).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center.

• Proven academic excellence (e.g., a GPA of 3.5 or higher).

• Excellent verbal communication skills and proficiency in the English language.

• Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Reliable internet access and a workspace that is free from significant noise and distractions.

• Availability to work during operational hours: Tuesdays to Thursdays from 1:30 pm CST to 9:30 pm CST; Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am CST to 5:30 pm CST.
