Engineering, Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Drive strategic and complementary initiatives within the Cross Tribe, facilitating integration and a smooth user experience across the Gupy Platform.

• Organize, plan, and guarantee high-quality outputs within set deadlines.

• Evaluate and implement enhancements to development tools, methodologies, and processes, particularly leveraging AI technologies.

• Collaborate with developers and Staff Engineers to devise and validate scalable architectural solutions.

• Align technical decisions with the strategic vision of both the Tribe and the organization.

• Identify and address risks, anticipate challenges, and formulate action plans.

• Track engineering metrics such as DORA and cycle time, aiming for cost efficiency across cloud services, APIs, infrastructure, and tools.

• Lead incident response initiatives.

• Formulate strategies that cater to technical priorities and product requirements.

• Assist in breaking down epics into manageable tasks, in coordination with Product Managers and Product Designers.

• Oversee squads comprising approximately five developers.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning meetings.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings and develop growth plans.

• Engage in the recruitment and onboarding processes for new team members.

• Promote continuous learning and support career aspirations.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage highly scalable technical projects.

• Revise development processes to align with AI advancements.

• Establish quality strategies and assist in the evolution of product architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong software development experience in digital product companies, including SaaS and digital platforms.

• Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as Git Flow, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD.

• Experience in automating unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.

• Understanding of monitoring and observability, encompassing structured logs and dashboards.

• Knowledge of agile metrics, including velocity, lead time, and cycle time.

• Awareness of DORA metrics, including deployment frequency, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and change failure rate.

• Capability to manage a technical backlog while prioritizing technical quality, security, and performance.

• Prior experience as a Tech Lead or in a comparable position.

• Proficiency with Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies.

• Proven experience in resolving complex issues.

• Ability to influence technical decisions, manage incidents, and align technical and business goals.

• Understanding of product and design roles, with the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a triad.

• Capacity to foster team development through individual growth plans and best practices.

• Preferred: experience as both a software developer and a Tech Lead.

• Preferred: interest in or experience with Artificial Intelligence in software development.

• Preferred: background in startups or scale-ups, advanced observability tools, high-growth environments, HR products, or product ecosystems.
