This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

• Examine Jira issues, incidents, support tickets, and production defects

• Utilize AI to trace issues back to their root causes in the codebase

• Review pull requests and production code with the aid of AI

• Detect recurring defect patterns

• Develop defect taxonomies

• Suggest architectural enhancements

• Identify technical debt

• Enhance engineering practices

• Construct engineering quality dashboards

• Create AI workflows to boost engineering effectiveness

• Generate Playwright tests using AI

• Evaluate AI-generated tests

• Elevate automation quality

• Produce API tests

• Develop regression tests

• Generate edge-case tests

• Analyze production incidents and automatically produce regression tests

• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines

• Enhance automation coverage across engineering teams

• Lead engineering teams to ensure quality in every release

• Mentor developers on engineering best practices

• Guide QA engineers on AI-assisted automation

• Foster engineering accountability

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience

• More than 4 years of hands-on software development (coding) experience

• Proven experience in leading software engineering teams that include both software developers and QA engineers

• Demonstrated success in utilizing AI (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enhance engineering practices and product quality

• Experience managing teams of both software developers and QA engineers

• Proficient in using AI and Playwright to create, review, and maintain automated tests

• Skilled in analyzing production defects, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive engineering enhancements

• Strong experience with Java and/or Python development

• Solid understanding of software architecture

• Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD practices

• Excellent debugging skills

• Strong root cause analysis abilities

• Experience in enhancing engineering quality

• Willingness and capability to work during core India business hours, in addition to collaborating with global teams
