This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a self-sufficient, high-achieving, self-managing, and inclusive engineering team.

• Oversee the entire shipping and logistics domain, encompassing carrier integrations, rate shopping, label generation, and supporting systems.

• Take ownership of the team’s technical direction, backlog priorities, and delivery processes.

• Advocate for the adoption of AI in project planning, issue triage, and software development.

• Evaluate technical output and maintain test-driven development, SOLID principles, and sustainable delivery practices.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define the roadmap, provide accurate estimates, and communicate decisions effectively.

• Promote accountability, transparency, and positive communication within the team and with stakeholders.

• Uphold Loop’s mission and values through decisive leadership.

• Direct the technical direction, delivery, structure, and overall health of a cross-functional product team.

• Balance feature development, technical debt, support, and innovation efforts in alignment with the company's vision and engineering standards.

• Manage the roadmap, backlog, technical direction, and hiring decisions while incorporating feedback from the team and stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience managing high-performing, product-oriented software engineering teams, with a proven record of delivering business value.

• Experience in SaaS, startup, or e-commerce environments is highly preferred.

• Recent hands-on experience as a software engineer.

• Technical expertise to engage in architectural decisions, mentor developers, and promote test-driven development and scalable system design.

• Utilizes AI agents as a standard aspect of team workflows and can articulate how they have transformed team output.

• Strong understanding of Agile software principles, including SCRUM.

• Proven history of delivering high-quality software through iterative and incremental delivery methods.

• Ability to balance competing priorities, manage stakeholder expectations, and make informed trade-offs.

• Excellent communication skills, consistent values, and a culture rich in feedback, accountability, and performance.

• Must reside in the United States.
