Engineering Manager – Personalization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand a diverse team comprising Machine Learning Engineers, Backend Engineers, and Data Analysts.

• Direct research and experimentation initiatives, striking a balance between long-term innovation and immediate business impact.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to uncover opportunities for enhancing customer revenue and conversion through personalized experiences.

• Serve as a player-coach: engage in architecture, model design, technical evaluations, and critical implementation decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in a production environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers, with a passion for people management.

• Strong grasp of machine learning principles, coupled with hands-on experience in contemporary ML frameworks and the complete ML lifecycle.

• Proficient in Python and experienced in working with large-scale data systems, demonstrating solid software engineering fundamentals, including distributed systems, APIs, and system design.

• Proven experience in designing, assessing, and deploying models that yield measurable business results.

• Familiarity with experimentation techniques, A/B testing, and metrics-driven product development.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English.
