Engineering Manager, Fulfillment

📋 Description

• We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Fulfillment Engineering Manager to lead a team of skilled engineers in transforming our fulfillment systems.

• This role entails spearheading innovation and change across essential areas, such as Order Management (OMS), Inventory Management, Warehouse Management (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

• In this capacity, you will supervise the development, support, and enhancement of solutions designed to streamline fulfillment operations, improve the fulfillment experience, and generate measurable business results.

• This role demands a combination of technical knowledge, team leadership, and strategic planning.

• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, product, and algorithms, to design and implement scalable systems that fulfill the needs of a rapidly changing business environment.

• You will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth by encouraging them to perform at their best.

• You will set priorities and deliverables for projects aimed at optimizing fulfillment systems, ensuring they align with business objectives.

• You will work in partnership with product managers, operations, and algorithms teams to continually enhance fulfillment processes and customer delivery experiences.

• You will guarantee system reliability, scalability, and performance, minimizing disruptions to everyday operations.

• You will spearhead initiatives to modernize fulfillment systems, enhance workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies.

• You will serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on team progress, challenges faced, and milestones achieved.

• You will identify, recruit, and develop individuals who complement one another to create a diverse and inclusive team.

• You will facilitate technical design discussions, eliminate obstacles, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

• You will foster an environment of continuous improvement by acting as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have experience with warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems, distribution center software, or similar solutions.

• You bring over 3 years of experience in building and scaling real-time solutions, including 1-2 years of managing high-performing engineering teams.

• Your ability to lead distributed teams across various time zones is a significant advantage.

• You have a proven history of delivering impactful, customer-centric solutions that align with business goals.

• You possess extensive hands-on experience with one of the commonly used programming languages, such as Golang, Java, or similar.

• You are enthusiastic about mentoring team members and facilitating their professional development.

• You prioritize transparent, honest communication and foster strong, collaborative teams based on trust and autonomy.

• You excel at establishing and conveying clear priorities to your team and cross-functional partners.
