This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the Hotels CFAR platform — which encompasses offer/pricing/order/exercise APIs, the merchandising and UI SDK layer, synthetic rate bundling, and the exercise/payout infrastructure.
• Manage partner integrations from start to finish: define technical solutions, lead solution discussions, design integration frameworks, and collaborate with sales and Solutions to transition partners from Discovery → Solutioning → Development → Live.
• Initiate foundational work that enables scalability: partner management portal, configuration tools, self-service onboarding — the infrastructure that separates partner growth from engineering staffing.
• Serve as the senior technical representative in partner discussions — facilitate communication between partner engineering teams, our APIs, and our product strategy; take ownership of SLAs, performance metrics, and partner-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk/Pricing, Ops, and GTM to ensure engineering deliverables align with business objectives: attach rate, contribution profit, partner launch speed, and loss ratio.
• Promote technical excellence through architecture evaluations, mentorship, and enhancing the capabilities of senior individual contributors and tech leads on the team.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in the development of B2B/B2B2C platforms with real, named external partners involved.
• Robust technical expertise across backend systems (APIs, orchestration, distributed systems), frontend SDKs / embedded UI, and cloud infrastructure.
• Direct experience as a technical leader facing partners/customers — conducting solution discussions, defining integrations, managing SLAs, and facilitating deployments.
• Familiarity with fintech, insurance-related, or transactional products — including money transfer, refunds, pricing engines, contracts, and audit trails.
• Knowledge of the travel distribution landscape is a bonus — including booking engines, agent portals, bed banks, OTAs, PSS/inventory platforms (Sabre, Amadeus), or hotel CRS/chain systems.
• Proficient in Scala or Java, REST APIs, OAuth2.0, and cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS); frontend knowledge (React, JS/TS) for SDK and merchandising tasks.
• A collaborative, product-focused mindset — capable of working closely with Sales, Product, Risk, and Ops while maintaining engineering integrity.
• A proactive attitude with a passion for mentoring and developing senior engineering talent.
• Competitive salary along with the advantages of pre-IPO equity packages.
• Unlimited paid time off (PTO).
• Carrot Cash travel stipend.
• On-demand access to co-working spaces via FlexDesk AND a work-from-home stipend.
• Generous parental leave that exceeds industry norms.
• An entrepreneurial culture where pushing boundaries and taking risks is part of everyday operations.
• Transparent communication with management and company leaders.
• Small, agile teams that make a significant impact.
• 100% employer-funded Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for employees.
• Access to Disability and Life insurance.
• Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
• DCA/FSA and access to a 401k plan.
