This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Responsible for resource planning and sprint management, participating in release planning, and making final decisions regarding the scope of work.
• Decompose strategic objectives into quarterly plans and sprints in collaboration with the Product Owner.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and inter-team delivery challenges.
• Ensure transparency and communication regarding delivery progress for stakeholders.
• Foster Agile practices, implementing and refining team processes.
• Make final decisions regarding process changes based on retrospective outcomes.
• Utilize metrics (velocity, cycle time, DORA) for continuous process improvement.
• Ensure the effectiveness of Agile ceremonies and monitor the execution of action items.
• Manage and support Team Leads to ensure effective team management.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding, development, and salary review processes for engineering teams.
• Cultivate a culture of psychological safety and high performance.
• Validate architectural decisions and the technical direction of development.
• Support the decision-making of complex technical solutions at the system level and between teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and maintain proper documentation.
• Act as the primary point of communication between the business and adjacent teams.
• Escalate and assist in resolving inter-team blockers.
• Make final decisions regarding the prioritization of technical debt in consideration of product goals.
• 5+ years of commercial experience.
• In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to plan, evaluate, and coordinate development tasks, balancing priorities, resources, and deadlines.
• Experience ensuring code quality and adherence to development standards, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of clean and maintainable code.
• Ability to identify risks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Experience managing technical decisions and technology selection.
• Understanding of SDLC and engineering best practices.
• Experience with testing strategies, CI/CD, and modern development processes.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with a deep understanding of software design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with the AWS ecosystem (Lambda, S3, ECS, etc.).
• Experience in mentoring and technical leadership of developers.
• Experience in hiring, onboarding, conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and planning career development.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to find effective solutions and balance innovation with practicality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure transparent interaction within the team and across departments.
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
