Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance high-performing engineering teams, cultivating a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

• Mentor and develop engineers by providing regular feedback, guidance, and career development opportunities, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative team atmosphere.

• Establish and drive a long-term vision, set strategies for your teams, ensuring complete alignment with company goals and product priorities.

• Identify and prioritize significant opportunities, collaborating closely with Product, Data, and Design teams to ensure a focus on initiatives that yield the highest customer and business value.

• Take charge of execution and delivery. Balance speed, quality, and reliability while ensuring teams consistently meet desired outcomes.

• Offer technical leadership by guiding system design and architectural decisions, assisting teams in navigating trade-offs, and removing technical barriers.

• Advocate for engineering best practices. Drive ongoing enhancements in code quality, operational excellence, development processes, and technological advancements.

• Collaborate across functions, engaging with stakeholders throughout the broader business to maximize impact and align on priorities, strategies, and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in developing, leading, and scaling engineering teams.

• People-Centric Approach and Team Building Skills: a passion for cultivating high-performing teams and facilitating personal growth. You know how to create alignment, foster psychological safety, provide constructive feedback, and develop engineers through coaching and mentorship.

• Strong technical judgment and systems thinking. You are adept at leading architectural discussions, assessing technical trade-offs, advocating for engineering best practices, and collaborating with senior engineers on technical strategy.

• Product & Business Partnership: Comfortable working closely with Product, Design, and Data partners to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and drive measurable outcomes. You have a natural ability to connect technical decisions to user experience, business metrics, and company strategy.

• Results-Oriented: A proven track record of driving performance. You know how to inspire teams to set and achieve ambitious, business-focused, and measurable goals.

• Ethical Leadership: You lead by example, acting as the team's moral compass by demonstrating empathy, transparency, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership. You value honesty and fairness, fostering a culture where individuals feel safe to challenge ideas, learn, and grow.
