Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead one of our engineering pods by directly overseeing a team of 4 or more engineers.

• Take responsibility for their growth and performance from start to finish, including conducting regular one-on-ones and performance evaluations.

• Collaborate with the recruiting team to define roles and manage the interview process.

• Oversee planning and prioritization for significant initiatives in conjunction with leadership.

• Maintain a high level of technical expertise to contribute effectively to your team's systems.

• Advocate for AI-driven engineering practices within your team.

• Ensure your team effectively manages production systems and participate in on-call duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading and mentoring engineers in roles such as team lead, technical lead, or engineering manager.

• Proven ability to develop engineering talent.

• Experience in owning the technical design and delivery of large-scale projects from inception to completion.

• In-depth knowledge of scalability best practices.

• Familiarity with contemporary web application stacks similar to Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Understanding of infrastructure automation, platform security, and DevOps methodologies.

• Proficient with modern AI-powered development tools and innovative engineering techniques.
