Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate technical projects within enterprise software from the planning phase to delivery.

• Foster career growth, manage promotions, oversee team dynamics, and handle performance evaluations.

• Collaborate with technical leads and product managers to prioritize and refine technical and product designs, ensuring high-quality product outcomes.

• Work in partnership with senior management to strategize and execute business objectives.

• Recruit, mentor, promote, guide, and support engineers across all levels, including full stack and quality engineers.

• Focus on driving 20-30% of the backlog towards technical enhancements alongside feature development.

• Take ownership of KPI tracking and reporting for the team, including metrics such as velocity, commit-to-complete ratio, and a balanced mix of tickets across features, enhancements, defects, and technical debt.

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities for process enhancement, leading initiatives for ongoing improvement.

• Leverage technical expertise to influence product priorities, ensuring efficient delivery while preserving software integrity and performance.

• Facilitate and lead sprint ceremonies to enhance communication, collaboration, and project momentum.

• Embrace AI tools while ensuring 'human-in-the-loop' validation to maintain quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in managing software engineers.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex technical projects in enterprise software.

• Proven experience in recruitment, career advancement, team management, and performance evaluation.

• Strong understanding of cloud services, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in driving Agile transformations.

• Extensive background in technical design, collaborating closely with tech leads.

• Previous experience with technologies such as React, TypeScript, Next.JS, NestJS, .NET, SQL, and Angular.
