Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead dynamic engineering teams: Oversee high-performing remote engineering teams, ensuring accountability for delivery, execution quality, and team well-being in a fast-paced setting.

• Technical vision & reliability: Take charge of the architecture and reliability of high-scale systems that handle millions of daily events with minimal latency. Define and steer the technical roadmap.

• Process enhancement: Establish scalable engineering processes across planning, estimation, quality, and production reliability. Leverage AI-driven methodologies to boost team productivity.

• Promote operational excellence: Direct planning and delivery cycles, ensuring teams remain focused and meet ambitious deadlines.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside product and design teams to synchronize roadmaps and execution strategies.

• Strong ownership: Cultivate a high-performance culture centered around technical excellence, rapid iteration, and shared accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience managing high-performing platform and backend teams focused on distributed architecture.

• More than 7 years of hands-on backend experience with large-scale, low-latency distributed systems, event streaming, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong technical foundation - ideally familiar with technologies such as Kafka, ClickHouse, Postgres, Redis, and Flink.

• Demonstrated history of operational excellence, including establishing structured planning processes and consistently delivering predictable, high-quality execution against business commitments.

• Proven capability to scale engineering organizations through defining effective development processes, driving engineering excellence, and embedding best practices across multiple teams.

• Experience leading complex technical projects and working collaboratively across product and infrastructure teams.

• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments with significant ambiguity and autonomy.
