Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and mentor engineering teams.

• Cultivate a culture of ownership, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure predictable delivery through effective planning, execution, risk management, and collaboration across teams.

• Eliminate obstacles through active technical involvement, including debugging, design reviews, and swift problem resolution.

• Provide architectural and design guidance to guarantee that solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.

• Conduct code and design evaluations, reinforcing engineering best practices and effective system design.

• Investigate complex production issues across frontend, backend, and database layers to restore service and prevent future occurrences.

• Oversee the development and ongoing support of NodeJS services/APIs and React web applications.

• Manage SQL Server data design and performance.

• Ensure robust API integration patterns, resilience, and secure-by-design methodologies.

• Direct engineering efforts across Azure and GCP environments.

• Advocate for engineering practices that align with hosted and cloud-native architectures.

• Provide technical leadership for ColdFusion applications.

• Lead the support and modernization of Windows C++ desktop and service-based applications.

• Ensure structured engineering workflows utilizing Git-based version control and organized release processes.

• Collaborate closely with QA, Product, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role for engineers.

• Proficiency in NodeJS.

• Proficiency in React.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Proficiency in SQL Server.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Proficiency in ColdFusion.

• Proficiency in Windows C++.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
