This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the execution of technical teams operating at a business scale through product and technology implementations.
• Take charge of architecture evaluations, ensuring that technical initiatives are prioritized while collaborating on the design of both new and existing solutions.
• Continuously enhance and streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Advocate for and implement best practices to create a cohesive, loosely coupled distributed systems ecosystem.
• Champion and execute best practices for an event-driven architecture.
• In partnership with the Group Product Manager or Product Manager, be accountable for defining, planning, and monitoring the objectives and initiatives for the current quarter.
• Focus on the consistent improvement of the team's work efficiency utilizing DORA and engineering metrics.
• Ensure the quality, security, operations, and observability of developed solutions—not just during the development phase (software engineering).
• Work collaboratively with other engineering teams to diagnose root causes and resolve production issues.
• Comprehend, share, and document processes and workflows, contributing to knowledge decentralization.
• Cultivate a collaborative, team-focused culture.
• Play a role in the growth of team members by sharing technology and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and delivery management.
• Capability to utilize data and metrics to align team objectives with company goals.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary software development teams, serving as a “leader of leaders” across various squads.
• Relevant experience in planning, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions.
• Understanding of solution architecture to ensure both output quality and the high technical capability of the team.
• Proficient in automation practices and defining software quality strategies.
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog, and Google Cloud Logging.
• Experience in dynamic digital environments, particularly in startups.
