• Lead and Manage Engineering Teams: You will take ownership of the team’s processes, delivery, and execution, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality outcomes.
• Partner with Product Managers and Customers: Collaborate to establish your team’s roadmap, aligning priorities with both business objectives and customer requirements.
• Provide Technical Guidance: Although you may not code daily, you will review pull requests, architecture, and design documents, offering technical coaching and feedback to guarantee high-quality solutions.
• Drive Performance Management: You will oversee your team’s performance, proactively identifying and addressing issues. Deliver immediate and actionable feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Mentor for Growth: Assist engineers in reaching their full potential by nurturing a growth mindset and developing personalized development plans.
• Own and Optimize Engineering Processes: Establish team goals and elevate the technical standards across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous feedback and transparency.
• Lead Hiring and Talent Development: Engage in all phases of hiring, onboarding, and retaining exceptional talent.
• Solve Problems Proactively: Take ownership of any issues you identify and work to resolve them.
• Engage in Open Conversations: Foster an environment of transparency where feedback is shared openly.
• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years of experience leading software development teams in roles such as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Founder
• Proven experience managing agile, high-performing teams in fast-paced, geographically diverse environments
• Comfortable addressing performance challenges directly and providing empowering coaching to engineers at all levels
• A strong understanding of customer needs, with the capability to convert ambiguous challenges into concrete solutions
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Hands-On Development and System Design
• Capable of navigating difficult discussions with ease
• Expertise in hiring, onboarding, and retaining top-tier talent to build high-performing teams
