Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead multiple engineering teams, taking ownership of personnel, culture, and team performance.

• Convert strategic objectives into quantifiable targets and make necessary adjustments when outcomes are lacking.

• Supervise tasks related to both customer-facing products and backend systems.

• Collaborate closely with the Product team to uphold high quality standards.

• Work alongside Staff Engineers to ensure alignment between architectural vision and practical delivery.

• Create a transparent decision-making process and facilitate conflict resolution.

• Address team misalignments proactively to prevent escalation.

• Foster the growth of engineers through coaching and effective technical management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading and nurturing engineering talent.

• Several years of experience in software development.

• Practical experience in technical management.

• Familiarity with web-based solutions, API design, and client-server interactions.

• Strong backend development experience.

• Capability to discuss design and architecture with senior engineers.

• Understanding of infrastructure and platform-related topics.

• Knowledge of customer-facing web and mobile applications.

• Excellent communication skills, decisiveness, and assertiveness.

• Strong conflict-resolution capabilities.

• An empathetic and coaching-oriented approach.

• Comprehensive understanding of agile methodologies.

• Awareness of the challenges in technical software development.

• Experience in creating prototypes, tools, or automations utilizing AI.

• Proficiency in English.

• Proficiency in German is an advantage.
