This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build and manage a team of 4-7 direct reports: take the time to understand their roles, objectives, and any obstacles they face.
• Create team norms and foster a working environment that empowers individuals to perform at their best through clear expectations and constructive feedback.
• Enhance team operations: clarify priorities, implement healthier processes, and improve cross-functional collaborations.
• Take ownership of the team’s execution roadmap and ensure timely delivery: define project scope and sequence, and proactively remove obstacles for your team.
• Collaborate with the Product team to ensure alignment of your team’s objectives with the broader Product roadmap and initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and deployment of our MCP server from its initial stages to a production-ready state.
• Lead a public API strategy focused on reliability and an exceptional developer experience.
• Support and enhance the delivery team responsible for our web application and agentic applications.
• Experience managing a globally-distributed team of software engineers, including mentoring, coaching, and navigating difficult conversations when necessary.
• Maintain enough technical expertise to contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews without becoming a bottleneck.
• Ability to convert vague product goals into specific engineering deliverables.
• Experience delivering in a fast-paced SaaS environment, where learning from a 'good enough' product is prioritized over a 'perfect but late' approach.
• Strong technical foundation in web and API development (our technology stack includes Ruby on Rails, with Rails & Python APIs).
• Experience designing and deploying production APIs with real external users, considering Developer Experience, versioning, and reliability alongside feature delivery.
